The renewed library will feature:
  •  enhanced building services, including a striking new feature ceiling, upgraded heating and cooling, improved lighting, and modern fire communication systems
  • a diverse range of study spaces to support different learning preferences, including individual study carrels, project booths, quiet reading areas and comfortable lounge spaces
  • purpose-built collaboration rooms with flexible layouts, acoustic treatments and integrated audiovisual technology to support group work and presentations
  • a new service desk and librarian workspace, creating a more welcoming and accessible hub for student support and resources
  • upgraded ground-floor amenities to improve comfort and functionality for all users.

New outdoor study areas, including a timber deck on the southern side of Evan Burge and an accessible ramp providing step-free access between the Evan Burge and Gateway buildings.

RECENT projectS
Kitchens precinct redevelopment

The redevelopment of the College’s Dining Hall and surrounding areas – known collectively as the Kitchens Precinct – was driven by the opening of Dorothy in 2020, a residential building that increased on-campus accommodation by almost 100 students.

Commencing in late 2022, the redevelopment was designed to modernise the precinct, ensuring the Dining Hall could accommodate all students and staff at once, while also enhancing the Vatican Lawn area and strengthening its connection to Dorothy.

Preserving the Dining Hall’s historic character was a key priority throughout the project, ensuring one of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s most cherished spaces remained at the heart of campus life.

The newly expanded Dining Hall, the A C C Farran Hall, opened in 2025.
